The Detroit Pistons have agreed with Josh Smith on a four year deal worth 56 million dollars.
Unlike the Howard deal, there was no controversy as Smith’s agent, Brian Dyke, confirmed the deal to ESPN.
The Pistons were rumored to make a big move this offseason, after many seasons of ineptitude. While he is not a superstar, he is a very talented player that wil improve the Pistons roster. Josh Smith was number one on their most wanted list, and they were able to sign him to a reasonable deal.
Last season with the Hawks, Smith averaged 17.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists for the Hawks last season.
