Francisco Liriano got his MLB career started as a Minnesota Twin. Known for his nasty change-up and mid 90s heat, he was expected to be Johan Santana‘s replacement. In fact, he was one of the reasons that Santana became expendable, leading to his trade to the New York Mets.
It appears as though Liriano has found his niche in the upstart Pittsburgh Pirates as he has a very low ERA of 2.23 and 67 Ks in 60.2 IP.
