Derek Jeter Made One Of Baseball’s Most Memorable Plays

On July 1st, 2004, Yankees’ shortstop Derek Jeter made one of the best plays in baseball history. In the top of the 12th inning against the Red Sox, Derek Jeter chased a ball into the outfield near the foul line. He caught the ball at full speed and did not have enough space to stop. Jeter went flying into the stands, suffering a bloody chin. Jeter fired up his team and the crowd, and the Yankees won in the bottom of the 13th. Coming from a Mets fan, I think Jeter is awesome and probably the only Yankee I will ever like. He is so dedicated and sacrifices everything for his team.
