After what seemed to be a dead deal, the L.A. Clipper and the Boston Celtics have reopened trade talks. In the deal, Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett, and either Jason Terry or Courtney Lee will be traded forn DeAndre Jordan, Caron Butler, and first-round picks.
While the initial hang-up appeared to be centered on Clipper guard Eric Bledsoe, the team has maintained that they will not trade him
in this deal. There are rumors that they plan on using him as a piece in another larger deal. With the fear of Chris Paul leaving, Clipper ownership has reportedly succumbed to his pressure and will attempt to meet his demands.
The Clippers normally have inexpensive coaches, which Doc Rivers is not, as he would command a 7 million dollar salary. It is the general consensus that a deal should be done rather quickly, as the Clippers want to be able to keep Paul. With this, the Dwight Howard-Chris Paul union appears to be in jeopardy.
