Harvey Updyke, Auburn’s Oak Tree Killer, Released From Prison

Harvey Updyke Released From Prison, Updyke, Auburn's Oaks, Alabama

Harvey Updyke, Auburn Tree Killer and Alabama College Football Fan, Released From Prison Today

In one of the more bizarre twists of college football rivalries, Harry Updyke, age 64, poured herbicide on the legendary oak trees of Auburn University. Updyke is a huge fan of Alabama football and actually performed this atrocity after Alabama lost to Auburn in 2010.

He still has another pending case in his home state of Louisianna, a $1 million in suit to cover the damages done to the trees.

One of the weirder things is that upon his release, he had one request. He wanted a banana. Kind of a strange thing to ask for after being in jail for 76 days. But that is just me. If you were released from prison, what would be your first request?
