The Broward County (Florida) sheriff’s office has confirmed that there is a warrant out for Chad Johnson’s arrest. The warrant was put out due to Johnson’s absence at a meeting with his probation officer. Him missing this meeting is allegedly against his probation.
Everyone knows Johnson as the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver. He had seven 1,000 yards receiving seasons with the Bengals before moving on to the New England Patriots in 2011. His season with the Patriots was possibly the season that ruined his career. There he had only 15 receptions for a weak 276 yards and 1 touchdown. Reporters said that he was lazy and could not handle a real playbook and learn something new. Clearly by looking at those stats those reports could be true. In 2012, Johnson moved on to the Dolphins and started off there at mini camp. That’s when everything went downhill.
On August 11, 2012, “Ochocinco” was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. Following an argument, Johnson head butted his wife, Evelyn Lozada. He was then released the following afternoon on bail. Later that day, he was called into the head coach’s room for the Dolphins and was released. Johnson was never touched again by an NFL team.
And that is where we are today. Because of his incident with his ex-wife, Johnson was put on probation and has to meet with a probation officer and a counselor. The warrant was issued May 7th and they are still on the look for Chad.
